Comptech Icebox Question
I'm sure this has been asked a few times, but since the Comptech Header and Exhaust system's release, does anybody have an update on when the Icebox is going to be available? Some guy at a Honda dealer told me it's taking longer to be released because Comptech had to go back to the drawing boards a couple of times with the Icebox because it didn't pass emissions in all states. Can anybody shine some light on this?

I might be mistaken, but I believe an aftercooler is a type of intercooler for a supercharged setup. I think the difference is when the cooling takes place, hence the different name, but essentially it does the same thing by reducing the intake temperature, but the icebox is just a really well designed intake. Here's a link to the 05-06 RSX Type-S Icebox: http://www.comptechusa.com/store/product192.html You can download a 3-D model from there and get an idea of how it's crafted. |
