the time it takes to do the install of course depends on your own skill level with interior parts...

i installed mine at separate times... ie: i put the button on and never wired it that part maybe took about 1-2hrs (damn cutting the dash so clean is what i was concerned with )... the wiring part took ummm about 1hr b/c i did it at night and had a mini LED flashlight...

i got the button from a friend but u can get it from any Honda dealership... it's the S2K button... i think it's like $30 or so...

i got mine from JDM civic type-r FD2R parts for my FD.
but judge by the look, it would be no diff for FA/FG.
comes with panel, 100 % no mods, just bolt on right away.
also on the panel, have 1 spare unused button.
cheaper than s2k button.
try find from ebay or jdmland

I wonder what the Honda folks think when you drop your car off for service and they see a push start button in your si.....I can already see them scratching their heads.

This happened to me once when I took my car to have its oil changed. The guy that drives the cars to the service area got in my car, then immediately out and called the service manager to come look at my car. I don’t know what he was saying buy he was pointing at the dash and talking. My car sat there another 10 minutes before it was taken back.

I am going to be needing this shortly, thank you so much. Where did you purchase the connector by the way. And has anyone seen a DIY on mounting the button? Thats the only parts i'm really worried about.
