I wonder, would this make the price for hardtops go down. They were 3k bucks when we had ours and they were also having a shortage. I want an s2k again. I hate car lust.

I'm not, just backing up my original statement, which you also rebuffed.

I know the capabilities of the CR, in fact, I'd probably have one over an AP1, but I did say weight was a bit more on the CR than the AP1.

Without AC, Radio and a spare tire? I dont think so... The only way the CR can be heavier is if you buy these options.

Umm, I looked at the link. They're saying it's lighter than the AP2. The 2.2L engine. The older 2.0L S2k's curb weights have been listed as lighter.

But, really, the information I provided that is merely information. As I've already said, the CR is a working machine that is mostly a club racer. People in S2ki have been saying that they could do more with less (much like most people here with the Mugen Si) and that it's not an actual "CR" because it still has options that aren't all too necessary on the track.

Can you please get over the fact that the CR is lighter than the AP1? Just take the time to think, there is no way in hell it weighs more. It doesn't have air conditioning, it doesn't have a radio, and it has a lightweight hardtop (even normal hard tops weigh less)

I forgot to mention, my buddy flaked out on Monday and Friday. He got drunk on Sunday and had a crazy hand over, so he didnt go to work. On Friday he got the call that his grandma was going to pass away soon, so he bailed then too. Now he says give him a call on Tuesday.

yeah, the AP1 is lighter if the CR has the Aluminum Hardtop on, then again the aerodynamics of the car with the hardtop helps alot.

If they had a white one I be more interested, but yea... its not a DD car and if u do want it DD, prepare to pay more... honestly I get a used S2k but hey... its a nice S2KR stock~

Chris, if u get an 05 White with black or tan interior, then let me know.
Also, did you ever get a white si sedan in?

I drove one. Its sick , I couldnt believe how stiff the ride was and on high speed turns how accurate and corrective you can be. I could have pushed it but didnt want to go far in a car I didnt know....but took it gently to the edge of what I would consider the edge of standard S2000 and it was ready for so much more.

Great car and much quieter on the inside. The hardtop is excellent , just about everything on that car is awesome.
