no i mean I would keep the pro kit, they are exactly what I was looking for. Perfect drop and not a harsh ride like other spring companies.

about the same as mine. 18x8 8.5 isnt really noticeable like 1/4 inch on the outside depending on offset.

My bad...sorry I misunderstood your post...
Eibach prokit ftw...I will be doing this upgrade hopefully--spring 08...How hard were they to install on a scale of 1 to 10? and yes, I will be using a spring compressor....

With power tools and a lift I would say a 3. If your on your back it might be a bit tougher.

Did you guys install the Eibach springs on the oem struts? I'm curious to see how long your struts would last.

I did the same thing with my S2000 (oem shocks with HR springs). I must have gone over 50k miles before I switched to Tein RA coilovers. I switched because I was ready for coilovers, not because the shocks wore out . I'm hoping I could get the same results with the Si.

Probably a 2, barely noticed a difference. They are progressive so the harder they are pushed the stiffer they are. Daily driving its almost stock.

So u dont think there would be any fitment/rubbing issues with the 18x8.5's??

That's what I'm wondering. My new set of wheels is 18x8 and I'm told I'll have rubbing issues if I drop it.

Is this the pro-kit you have, just the springs?

Eibach Pro-Kit Spring Set Front and Rear Fitment

Ride Height: Moderate Lowering

Note: Avg low 1.2"F 1.0"R
Lowering amount may vary with model and equipment.

Orig. Price: $201.00 (kit)
See price in cart
Estimated Availability: Low Stock
Manufacturer Part #: 4031.140

Info from TireRack

And you say that this drop feels the same as stock in terms of ride comfort? I was going to get the HFP, but if the ride comfort is maintained as to almost stock, I may get this becuase it's cheaper and a bit lower!!!

You know my AIM screen name. Let's chat...

I just installed this kit also. I'm also running 18x7.5 and 225/40/18 tires and I have no rubbing. But I would recommend the front camber bolts before you gat the rear camber kit. As long as you have a close to neutral toe in on the rear you will not get any more severe tire wear than stock. And Setting the front camber at around -.8 will make the car handle soooo much better. My car used to understeer BAD in the rain before but now it sticks like glue.
