I have 06 DX Coupe 5 speed.

Sometimes when im in 2nd 3rd 4th or 5th,

when i accelerate and let off the gas it jerks, and when i press the gas back on again it jerks. dont matter how much gas i press. is this because i need a reflash?

And sometimes when i shift through gears i drive like a newbie. ive been driving stick for a long time.

I got the same problem, but it only happens in first gear when the engine is still warming up.

How bad is the jerk though? I mean, the lower gear you are in, the harder it is going to jerk. That's how most manual cars are. Try driving in first till about 7-10km/h and let go, it'll jerk like crazy.. and it should lessen the higher the gear you go.

I've noticed this with all standard cars.

Must be the DBW.

Flat spot...

I too have that problem, happens when I shift into second mostly (around 2200rpm) sometimes third. I describe it as a flat spot, my car dosent jerk like mis-timed clutching but just pauses the power until it gets over the hump, usually around 2600rpm. I have a visit soon with my dearler and wasnt sure if it was a problem on mine or more of a model issue. I'll be sure to let them know there is a problem and demand a proper explaination.

both honda sticks I've driven "jerk" when you let off the gas abruptly in as high as 3rd gear but it's most prominent in 1st and 2nd. I don't think reflashes applied to DX models (but check on that cuz I'm not 100%). I'm thinking the reflash will help this problem in my Si but it wont eliminate it. The reflash is to address the rev's hanging up there for 2 seconds after you take your foot off the throttle - a result of bad DBW design. But even my S2000 jerked a little if you were in 1st or 2nd gear and you just pulled your foot up. the throttle is closing - an expected behavior to me.
