Hey I was wondering if anyone knew where I could find a rear seat delete kit for my 07 si. Coupe btw

I deleted my rear seat forever ago. It only weighed like 10 pounds and that is a very high estimate.. I did it to be "cool."

Now I have a 4 door 2 seater :giggle:

I went to home depot, got some thin black carpet and velcro'd it in place. It looks trick and nice and at a glance you can't really tell the seats are missing. But it still looks nice.

1/4" MDF, Dark Grey Auto Carpet, used 3M Super 77 spray adhesive, Nylon Cable Clamps to attach bottom board and keep it from slipping, 2 Striker Plates from 94-97 honda civic (trunk latches), couple of screws/washers/nuts

1. Its thin, so dont recommend someone sitting on it.
2. Yes its carpet similar to speaker box material.

I saw the template online, but seemed a bit much just for a template. I work with wood all the time so this was a pretty easy. The main problem was the bottom board since its curved/slanted to make it fit in the back.

Sources:
1/4" MDF------McCoys Lumber $12.99 still have plenty left, Lowes was double the price and for less lumber

Striker Plates - $5.50 each from Salvage yard, can be found cheaper, I was in a rush

Hardware (Screws/Washers/Nuts/Nylon Cable Clamps) -----Harbor Freight $10.00 or less

Carpet---Local Supplier $20.00 for 3 yds by (56in wide I think)

Super 77 ---Lowes $10ish, 1 can is enough

I like the pics from the template and the pic from iHeartpd.

95% of the time in by myself in the car, the other times my son is there in his seat. Recently while doing my speakers and amp install I had to remove my rear seats for a few days but still put his seat back in, it looked pretty cool + his seat was lower, closer to the floor so it was easier for him to get on it himself and I don't even rock the passenger seat either on a regular basis.

I think I might do the rear seat delete with some sturdy wood + carpet to keep my sons seat low but maintain a clean look. For now this is how it is.

I'll post an 'after' pic when I do it. Thanks for the ideas.

Yeah, since it's unplugged the passenger airbag wont go off but there's no one there that needs it so it's all good. It didn't really feel much different, just makes it much easier to buckle my son in. Now what feels very weird is driving without a center console, imagine not having an armrest nor a passenger seat... and no drivers door panel. I hated driving the few days I did without the door panels, center console (that whole long piece that has the armrest and shifter trim), and the dash trim where the radio goes. No windows, no a/c controls, no hazard lights.... all I had was my sun roof to fiddle with, not to mention opening the doors by pulling the little cable by hand.

I was at first. I'd disconnect the battery then take off the seat but every now and then I need to put the seat back in and don't bother doing that step anymore. But when I take on/off the drivers airbag I do disconnect the battery and wait a few minutes before. My head is pretty close to the steering during this process. Btw, for those wondering, the airbag light on the dash does stay on when the pass seat of removed.

I finally did it with fiberglass.
Made the shape with cardboard pieces and plenty of tape. Supported the hollow areas underneath the cardboard with rags and used aluminum foil as the last layer of stuff prior to laying the fibers....

I laid 3 layers while in the car then took it out and laid another 3 or 4, trimmed it then used spray glue to adhere the fabric material.
